Basic Purpose Selects all orders from the pick slots as safely and efficiently as possible; replenishing warehouse slots by letting down product that is in reserve slots; loading all completed and selected orders onto delivery vehicles for next day deliver to customers. These combine to make sure that the customer has the correct product selected in the shortest amount of time, and that it is properly prepared for drivers during the next days deliveries.

Description
Selects customer orders from slots using pick lists of assorted items to build orders according to customer stops. This involves riding a pallet jack or cherry picker/high-lift, moving products from racks to pallet, labeling the selected cases with the order labels.

Delivers merchandise to correct dock area, stacks items on pallets according to driver stops (customer locations) for next day delivery and may shrink wraps palletized orders.

Replenishes warehouse slots by letting down product that is in reserve slots to allow orders to be selected more quickly

Conducts trailer inspection before loading to assure trailer is clean, the proper temperature and ready for loading.

Ensures all pallets are built according to stops and are securely placed to avoid damage during transport.

Verifies header labels on all pallets and checks for damaged or outdated product before loading.

Loads trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured.

Performs various clean up duties: Clears aisle of all debris, returns pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging. Stack empty pallets from slots in aisle. Clean up any spills and place damaged product in recoup area.

Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.
Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Education or GED preferred; Must be at least 18 years of age.

Related Experience: Previous comparable warehouse experience preferred; experience with pallet jack or high lift preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); good verbal communication skills; Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.
